On the weekend of September 11-13th, the GPP was proud to host Gwangju's first international 48 Hour Film Challenge, "Make It Great in 48". In a crazy, possibly sleepless weekend, several teams had to write, shoot, edit, and score a short film in just 48 hours! In this challenge, doing was more important than planning. The premise is that each team had to make a film based on the following given items: a genre, a prop, and a line. Teams received these randomly and everyone had a different genre, prop, and line.
As always, people of ALL nationalities were welcome to participate. Movies could be made in either English or Korean.
We received some amazing submissions and are so excited to share them with the community on October 3rd!
The films will be screened at the GIC (Gwangju International Center) downtown, on October 3rd starting at 7:30. Judges will choose the best films and awards the winning teams with some fantastic prizes!
The film screening is a free event, so please come down and enjoy a night of comedy, drama, and everything else in-between and support Gwangju's budding film-makers (who are also possibly your fellow coworkers ^^)!
Popcorn and sodas will be available for purchase, so bring along some cash to get some tasty treats while you enjoy the films. See you there!
