All of our camp teachers are volunteers hailing from many different backgrounds and bringing diverse skills to the camp.
All teachers are experienced ESL educators from private academies, public schools and universities in South Korea.

Kelly Palmer Kim
Kelly is originally from Eastern Canada and has been in Gwangju since 2000. She is involved in many community groups. As Co-President of GFOG (Global Families of Gwangju), Kelly spends most of her time organizing children's events. Kelly is also a member of the GPP's Improv Troupe. Kelly started GFOG with Jeff Hamilton 4 years ago and they work hard to make Gwangju a more integrated community. They put on a spring festival and a Halloween festival every year. Get in touch with her if you would like to get more involved with community events.

Gaby Largaespada
Gabriela Largaespada is from Miami, FL and has been living in Korea just shy of one year. When she is not teaching elementary school students, she is eating cheese rabokki and playing with puppies.

Katie Williams
Katie Williams currently teaches English to elementary students here in Gwangju. Prior to living in Korea she taught preschool and directed a summer day camp in the U.S. She also spent one year teaching art to elementary students in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. She loves making art and helping kids explore their own creativity.

Annie To
Annie To is a 27-year-old actress from Los Angeles, of the U.S. She ventured into Gwangju, South Korea in search of good kimchi and ended up teaching here. She's enjoyed her journey and working with her students, but she will be returning to LA in late August.

Thomas Buist
Thomas Buist has been a teacher in South Korea for about eight years. In that time he’s taught everything from kindergarten to adults. He first discovered theatre shortly after moving to Gwangju and has been an active participant in the GPP ever since. He enjoys tabletop gaming, writing and spending time with friends.

Trevor Homeniuk
Trevor Homeniuk is from Alberta and Ontario, Canada. He studied fine art and Education. Trevor enjoys nature, being active , and music. He has lived in Gwangju on and off for 5 years and is currently working at Sahmyook Elementary school.

Erin Stewart
Erin Stewart has been living in Gwangju since 2011, and is currently a teacher at Chosun University. She enjoys cooking, reading, walking her dog and teaching. She thinks Gwangju is a really special place, and is excited to participate in the annual GPP Kids camp!

Kelsey Yohe
Kelsey Yohe is fairly new to acting, she has only been in two productions in Gwangju, A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Vagina Monologues. She has enjoyed the experience tremendously. One of her favorite aspects of acting are the theatre games actors use to warm-up and get into character. This is why, for this camp, she will be teaching the theatre games!
